Any individuals or organisations may register for a KIDS.US domain name as long as they meet the existing U.S. Nexus requirements for the .US domainand agree to the LQD Internet registration agreement.

Am I required to have an active website in order to register for a KIDS.US domain name?

No. A registrant is not required to have a website ready for content review at the time he or she attempts to register a KIDS.US name.

Activating your content in the KIDS.US domain is easy!

After you register your domain name, follow these simple steps:

1. Visit www.kids.us. Go to www.kids.us and click the "Activate Content" button.

2. Follow the prompts. Provide the requisite information about your domain name, including the items below. Please note that all information you submit will be held in strict confidence.

3. Agree to the Terms of Use. The Terms of Use include the KID.US Content Policy, as well as the Takedown Procedures used for the enforcement of the KIDS.US content policy.

  • Your registered domain name.
  • "Auth Info" code, which is the code supplied by your Registrarat the time of your registration confirmation.
  • All URLS pertaining to the exact name of the web address you will use (i.e. www., www2., home., etc.); this will enable content review for your proposed website.
  • Your contact person and their contact info.
  • Secure page data, including username and password for secure pages wthin your domain.

4. Remite payment. The annual content review fee is $250.

You will be notified about content activation within five (5) business days. Best of all, you only need to sign up for content activation once; this makes managing multiple domains under one account simple.
